Because You came by today.

image   Ok so this is what it looks like when you hit a game winning home run in the bottom of the 11th to beat my team. Yeah the Yankees left 18 runners in scoring position last night. We {as if I was on the team} blew it last night. Not only did we lose the game. We lost it in style, blowing a two run lead in the bottom of the 9th. I hate when that happens. It's a long season but things are not stacking up to well with us so far. Some injuries are starting to rear their ugly heads. Enough about the Yankees. I know you don't come to this blog to get your sports scores. Why do you come to this blog anyway? Why do I even blog? Hmmm. These are questions that I ask myself everyday. I average about 12 readers a day. Many of you come back quite often and check in on me. I really do appreciate it. Yet at the same time I feel a responsibility to try to come up with some worthwhile content to read. It's kind of tough when all I can do is hang around the house. I keep coming back hoping for an epiphany.

I thought I'd share with you some of the sites I go on,on pretty much on a daily basis. Some of them may not surprise you. These are RSS feeds that I signed up to to be notified when they post or ones I've just stumbled upon and liked. One of the ones that I like to read the most along with the comments is Trucker James. I think I like it because I can remind myself why I'm glad I'm not on the road every day.

Another one I like to read just because is, The Poor Farm I don't know why I like this one I just do. Maybe it's because he attacks Barrack Nobama. No wait dammit. It isn't attacking if it's true. Maybe it's just because he has an interesting way at looking at things.

The last one I'll send you over to read if your so inclined is The Simple Dollar in the Header on his blog it says "Financial talk for the rest of us". He has over 58,000 people that subscribe to his blog. Every post usually has some good advice in it.

As I finish typing this the Yankees and Redsox are playing again. We{there I go with that we again} we're leading 6-0 at one point it's now the top of the 8th and the Redsox are leading 12-10. Yuck

100_2683 I'll close with this picture that Momma took of the Sign she worked on today. She put four bags of mulch down and some Pansies {that we named Stanley} for obvious reasons. Some Merigolds and some tulips. Look at that big ass lawn I'm going to have to mow soon. See that door on the side of the house? We're thinking of putting a deck on the side of it that would run around to the back where there is a sliding door.

Busy Day!

Stan wasn't to happy when he found out I outed him and Harry Reid. Let's just say he was Green with envy. I'm still recuperating at an undisclosed location from the malicious and unfounded attacks from him in his last few post. Just to show Iimage      don't harbor any ill will towards him notice the picture of me making a speech on his behalf. I don't often dress up as I'm not comfortable in a suit and tie. This picture of me was addressing the home owner association at the park he lives in. You'll notice I'm exhorting the crowd here not to take Stan seriously. He really can't help himself. I think I've talked them into not kicking him out for now. His rent is going to go up though, from $10.00 a month up to $20.00 as they have to pay people to come in and clean up the bottles he throws around. Stan if you read this. This is the last time I can fly out to the left coast and bail you out. Your on your own after this buddy.

Today was a busy day for me. I had to meet the Workmans compensation insurance rep. He had about 4 or 5 jobs that he pulled up from various computer sites. He wants me to check them out. They are everything from dispatching to being an Instructor for Tractor Trailer students at Boce's in Oswego county. I'll chase down some of the leads tomorrow and see if any of them pan out. I'd really much rather go to Vesd, which is a place where I can retrain for something else. I also got to see my Chiropractor today. He had to do an extra adjustment on me today.Because I had a spasm farther up my back. My legs were even before he did the adjustment. After he did it my left leg was shorter again so he did the normal adjustment so now I'm back in line for now. After that I had to go out and see my Social worker Len. We had a nice discussion about some direction I can take. It requires me to step out of the comfort zone I've been in. It's not as if this has been real comfortable. The Wellbutrin in keeping me just this side of being really depressed. I think another thing keeping me going is looking over my shoulder for Stan's next barrage. I've noticed a white van going by the house really slow lately. It's probably Stan and the Penguins looking for another shot like This .

How about those Ny Yankees. They played a 14 inning game tonight and won in the bottom of the 14th with a walk off two run homer. They next play on Friday in Boston. Speaking of good weather by Friday and Saturday here in Central New York it's supposed to get up to 80. It's about time. That means I'll have to probably mow this weekend  because the grass is growing pretty quick.

I have Normal blogging buddies too!

I have been humbled beyond belief. No not by Stan. Although you have to go to his latest post. He has gotten me very good this time. Let's just say that he has way to much time on his hands. No, I have been humbled by one of the best blogs out there on a day to day basis of what it's like to be a husband and wife out trucking on the big roads. Diane over at Head Carolina Tails California has mentioned this little ole blog on hers. It has caused me to question her sanity but that's neither here or there. Her content is always very interesting and upbeat and looking at the shall we say "less than optimum" situations in trucking in a positive light. Her and Craig's blog is a must read for me every day. The pictures she shares are like being there

She also links to another one that I have to read everyday Tales from the road by the Fenian Godfather he can't be all bad, he is after all a Notre Dame football fan. His take on trucking is the way to approach the business. He has a sarcasm that is very easy to digest.   He also tackles the day to day of trucking in a very humorous and even tempered way.  In fact all the links on my sidebar are a very good read and will give you a pretty good picture of what it's like on the road.

I'm going to leave it at this today. I'm giving Stan the day off.

My Friend Stan.

image I've gotten numerous emails from people wanting to see a picture of Stan. This is one that we got from the surveillance photo's taken as Stan gets ready to go back inside to do a post. I believe this is one that shows him talking to Harry Reid. Stan is a professional at diversionary tactics and is very good at deflecting attention from himself to others.{An example of this is these pictures. He is trying to represent them as someone elses when in fact they are of him} He is considered to be harmless though. His neighbors as seen in the photo below tells us that he can often be heard long into the night shouting out "I feel Pretty" as he tosses his bottles of empty  Boones Farm Apple wine out his front door. It turns out that this picture is not of Stan at his own trailer but is in fact the one that Nancy Pelosi and he share on weekends.Stans trailer that Him and Harry Reid share is the one on the Far Left. In fact it seems that everything that Stan does comes from the Far left. I expect any day now to have him announce on his blog that he has joined the Nobama administration. I believe he's up for a position as the Czar of Bazaar. He has my vote.

On a serious note for a minute. Stephany has a post on big Pharma playing their games again. It's amazing how she is able to keep up on these guys. She is very good at finding these articles. You can check out her post Here. She is constantly being monitored by these guys and continues to attack. It's amazing the power you have when you use the truth as your guide.

Now back to Stan. Naw, never mind. I'll save more for later. You can be sure that he will come back at me with guns a roaring over this exposure. I wasn't going to post these pictures of Stan but I found it necessary after checking out his recent attack on me. It can be found at that left leaning rag authored by the one and only Stan.

Speaking of the Ny York Yankees. I proved once again I am a fair weather fan. Yesterday I gave up on them when they we're down 3-1 in the 5th inning or so. Actually I kept falling asleep in the recliner,so I turned off the tv and went in for a nap that turned into about a 3 hour snooze. The by product of that is I'm up this morning at 3:30 finishing up this post.

My Sunday musings.

I was watching the Yankee game on Saturday. I gave up on them when it was 20-2 Cleveland leading in the 5th. I'll try watching the game on Sunday. The ball seems to just fly out of the New Yankee stadium. All you have to do is get it up in the air in right field and it's a home run.

Some of you may have noticed Stan from Somethings not quite right with Stan fame is on my sidebar again. He has finally started writing some content that is worth reading. Not that the Mental health field isn't worth reading but their are those that do it better. His babbling and incoherent ramblings are best left to the write about nothing genre of which I'm an expert in myself. His expertise is in going on other peoples blogs and leaving long rambling comments where no two thoughts make sense. Welcome back Stan.

Momma put two spot lights that are charged by the sun out in the flower garden that has the sign to our little community here. I may have told you in a previous post that we have sort of adopted taking care of the sign. Indy & I took a little walk around the yard tonight and checked the lights out. They look pretty good. That's another thing I'll have to take a picture of.{Notice when I say I when work is involved,  I means Cindy} We did our clean up the yard from winter stuff today. Cindy had to do a lot of the bull work because of my on going problems with my leg and hip. I was able to help some though. I drained the gas in the snow blower and put it away for the summer and got the riding mower ready for the season. I  might have to mow in the next week or so, the way the grass is growing.

I'm out of the Meat sauce for Hot dogs that I got at M&M Hot's in Elmira, Ny. last time I went down to see my mother. My mother doesn't read this blog so maybe I can sneak in on her in the next week or so. It's a 4 hour round trip so I don't get down there much.

I'm going to end my post today with some full discloser. On the weight loss front I have gained 4 lbs from the 292 that I started at. This should tell you where I am mentally right now. My gung ho attitude of going to the gym is gone. The physical limitations are just more than I can deal with. They're not in my head they are real and it really has me down. I'm sitting around and eating with no physical activity it doesn't take much to see where that is headed does it? I'm just not sure what to do to turn it around. I'm getting all kinds of advice from those that care about me. It just isn't getting to me. I'm not one to quit but it sure feels like that Is what I'm doing on this one.
